ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Rodrigo and I'm a composer, editor and audio artist based in Toronto, Canada. I started in music at an early age playing the violin and later on focused on drums and percussion as my main instrument. I went to school for music production and got my bachelor's in contemporary composition at the UPC University in Lima, Peru. Right after, I started my own studio dedicated to producing music and sound for indie films and began teaching at a music institute.
Over the years, I've worked closely with acclaimed composers in Europe, Canada and the US as a music editor, orchestrator, score supervisor and studio assistant. While doing this, I participated in the production of feature films, web series and videogames as well as in sampling sessions and orchestra recordings in different locations around the world. I dedicated my personal career to write music for films, video games and TV series. I received a Best Score award at the Ministry of Culture of Peru for my work on a musical short film in 2019 and have received nominations in various ocasions internationally.
In 2020 I was accepted to join the InMics academic program and moved to Lyon, France to pursue a master's degree in Scoring for the Screen at the National High Conservatory of Music of Lyon. I later moved to Montreal, Canada to continue my master's studies and in 2023 I received my second degree in Music and audio creation for visual media at the Université de Montréal.
